The paint is slow to dry today
Its still a little tacky
But I have time to wait,
Listen to the rain,splashing
On the window panes.
But more.......................
I have the time to think
Sat in my captains' chair.
We found it in an Oxford store
Close by Oxford prison
Thought it would be handy
I use it every day
The seat is hard,the arm rests too
One does not sleep in here.
There's not a lot to think about,
The Oxford street perhaps,
An Italian close by,
Went there once,quite nice
(At school they told me
Not to use that word,)
Lazy, I think they said,
Nice of them to tell me.
